The Ceremony

The Recognition is not collected at a ceremony. It is sent to those who request it. On occasion, its presentation is accompanied by a visit to the field, often linked to an event where we are invited to speak. This allows us to raise awareness and connect leadership directly with the tangible impact felt by communities benefiting from sustainable projects.

The Recognition itself is a framed reprint, with a clean design, certifying inclusion among the 100 global leaders in decarbonisation. It honours the excellence that makes a reliable carbon market possible: technical rigour, data integrity, and a verifiable contribution to the net-zero transition.

The Carbon Positive Awards do not hold a centralised gala. Climate leadership is global, and a single ceremony would demand the very travel and carbon expenditure that our laureates are working to eliminate. We believe recognition is most meaningful when it takes place close to the communities it serves.

We therefore invite laureates to organise a regional award presentation in their own country or city. In practice, this means convening a modest gathering — a meeting, a dinner, a professional event — and inviting fellow laureates in the region, local stakeholders, partners and civil society representatives to attend. The format, the venue, the timing and the guest list are entirely yours to decide.

Green Cross UK supports the process. We provide framing materials, connect you with other laureates in your region, and can, where logistics allow, arrange for one of our representatives to be present and to speak on behalf of the programme. We also offer guidance on how others have approached similar gatherings, so you are not starting from scratch.
