The Carbon Positive Awards are not a closed room. They are a conversation. And like any honest conversation, they depend on who shows up, what they bring, and what they are willing to question.

We do not have a monopoly on wisdom. We cannot be everywhere. We cannot see everything. The organisations we recognise are found through research, through networks, through luck—and increasingly, through you.

That is why we keep the door open. Not as a courtesy, but as a necessity.

1. When you nominate, you point us towards leadership we might otherwise miss. A project in a remote region. A standard-setter working quietly. A buyer doing things differently. You help us see further.

2. When you partner, you tell us we are not alone. You bring resources, reach, and credibility that amplify the signal. You help us build something larger than any one organisation could.

3. When you share ideas, you challenge our assumptions. You offer frameworks we had not considered. You remind us that the world is wider than our lens.

4. When you offer public comments, you hold us accountable. You test our reasoning against your experience. You ensure the awards remain a living document, not a monument.

5. When you report a concern, you protect the integrity of everything we do. A winner whose claims do not match their actions. A conflict of interest we missed. A blind spot in our criteria. You are our most important auditor.

6. When you volunteer, you give your time and your talent to a cause that matters. You become part of the engine. You help us do more, with more care, than we could alone.

None of these gestures are small. Each one shapes the awards, sharpens our perspective, and strengthens the community we are trying to build.
