Tanmiah Food Company
Leadership in Poultry Supply Chain Decarbonisation
This award recognises Tanmiah Food Company for translating decarbonisation commitments into operational and supply chain action across the full poultry value chain. In November 2025, Tanmiah signed three concurrent MoUs: with Schneider Electric to conduct a full carbon inventory and submit SBTi-validated reduction targets; with Strataphy to deploy the region's first geothermal-cooled poultry facility under a 'Cooling as a Service' model; and with Kayes Arabia to convert diesel field equipment to LPG, directly cutting emissions and operational costs.
The Schneider agreement extends to supplier engagement, cascading decarbonisation requirements beyond Tanmiah's direct operations. Tanmiah's 2025 asset base spans 157 farms, 7 hatcheries and 6 processing plants — making these commitments material, not marginal. For converting the poultry supply chain into a testbed for deep industrial decarbonisation, Tanmiah receives this recognition.
The significance of Tanmiah's 2025 commitments extends beyond any single agreement. By simultaneously targeting Scope 1 emissions through LPG conversion, Scope 2 through geothermal cooling, and Scope 3 through SBTi-aligned supplier engagement, Tanmiah has built a multi-vector decarbonisation architecture across a supply chain spanning 157 farms and 6 processing plants.
This systemic approach demonstrates that the livestock sector's decarbonisation challenge is addressable at commercial scale without compromising production economics. For that, Tanmiah Food Company receives this recognition.
