X-NOOR

This award recognises X-NOOR for demonstrating what integrated energy transition looks like in the luxury hospitality sector, where deep decarbonisation has long been considered incompatible with guest experience.

At the JA Resort in the UAE, X-NOOR combined two complementary interventions into a single net-zero pathway: a 1.12 MWp rooftop solar PV system avoiding approximately 789 tonnes of CO2 per year, and a comprehensive energy efficiency retrofit across HVAC, building management systems (BMS) and hot water systems (HWS) delivering a further 3,669 tonnes of CO2 reduction annually.

Together, the two projects cut the resort's carbon footprint by over 4,450 tonnes per year while reducing its energy bill, proving that on-site generation and demand-side efficiency are most powerful when deployed together rather than in isolation.

As a UAE-headquartered joint venture with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh and a regional pipeline exceeding 2.2 GW of solar projects, X-NOOR has aligned its operations with the UN Global Compact 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, embedding GHG reduction into a commercial delivery model for commercial, industrial and utility-scale clients across the Middle East.

The JA Resort intervention matters beyond its own emissions: by showing that a five-star resort can pair rooftop solar with whole-building efficiency and still enhance its offering, X-NOOR has built a replicable blueprint for the future of luxury hospitality in a region racing to decarbonise. For proving that solar generation and energy efficiency together can redefine sustainable luxury, X-NOOR receives this recognition.
