Siemens

Leadership in Industrial Automation

This award recognises a global industrial technology company for turning its own operations into a verifiable decarbonisation engine. By the end of fiscal 2025, Siemens had reduced its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 66% compared to its 2019 baseline, while customer avoided emissions reached a cumulative 694 million tonnes of CO₂e – for the second consecutive year, the products it sold prevented more emissions than its entire value chain generated.

At the same time, the company increased the implementation rate of its conservation programme from 18% to 55% of all relevant sites, and its CDP Climate A List rating confirmed that its decarbonisation pathway has been externally validated as “gold standard”. Beyond its own footprint, Siemens has embedded climate action into the core of its business strategy, with over 90% of its business now enabling customers to achieve a positive sustainability impact. Its robust Eco Design methodology covers 67% of its relevant portfolio, industrial AI solutions deliver up to 30% energy savings, and the company is on track to reach net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.

For demonstrating that industrial automation can be a direct, measurable instrument of global decarbonisation, Siemens receives this recognition.
