This award recognises a carbon removal registry that has redefined the benchmark for high‑integrity carbon credits. In 2025, Isometric became the first and only registry to receive ICVCM approval for protocols spanning five engineered carbon removal pathways—including bio‑oil geological storage, biomass geological storage, and direct air capture (DAC)—allowing credits across all six of its verified protocols to carry the Core Carbon Principles (CCP) label. These approvals, granted after a rigorous independent assessment against all ten CCPs, cover a project pipeline expected to issue over 3.2 million credits annually. Beyond ICVCM approval, Isometric also became the first carbon removal registry approved by ICAO to issue credits under the CORSIA framework, opening a regulated compliance market for durable removals and securing a direct, high‑impact channel for decarbonising the aviation sector.

For proving that a new generation of carbon standards can deliver both scientific rigour and market scale, Isometric receives this recognition. The dual approval — ICVCM Core Carbon Principles across five engineered removal pathways and ICAO CORSIA authorisation — achieved in 2025 positions Isometric as the only registry capable of issuing credits recognised simultaneously in voluntary markets and the largest regulated compliance scheme in aviation. This convergence creates a single high-integrity pathway from carbon removal project to verified credit that satisfies both corporate voluntary buyers and regulatory compliance buyers, removing a key structural barrier to scaling durable removals.
