This award recognises Grupo Modelo for embedding decarbonisation into its supply chain, addressing that over 80% of its carbon footprint originates from scope 3 emissions. By working with more than 5,000 farmers managing over 43,000 hectares through its Smart Barley programme, it has scaled regenerative agricultural practices and increased local sourcing, directly reducing the carbon intensity of its raw materials.

At the same time, the company powers its industrial operations with 83% renewable electricity, has reduced emissions by 25% since 2017, and its expanding electric fleet helps avoid 18,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, cutting emissions across production, distribution and consumption.
